Kindle 2 is one of the useful gadgets I ever bought. It changed my reading habits positively in many ways. In this post, I tried summarizing the best accessories, software and other online resources available to kindle owners
Accessories:
Kindle Cover : Amazon Kindle 2 cover seems the best value option to me. It fits well and feels great to hold while reading. For 30$ it's not that cheap but it's a necessay investment to protect your kindle. Amazon Kindle 2 Leather Cover
Booklight: Mighty bright XtraFlex2 book light is a well built booklight with optical grade lens for great lighting with no hot spots. Mightyl bright XtraFlex2 booklight
There are cheaper alternatives in ebay. You get a cover, booklight and a screen guard for 15$. Ebay Kindle Accessories bundle. The slip on cover perfectly fits the kindle 2 and the book light also works fine. But I never suggest putting that screen guard over the kindle screen.
Software:
Calibre: Calibre is a opensource crossplatform e-book management software which has got inbuilt reader and converter. It detects kindle 2 and perfect for document conversion from many formats to kindle format. Further it can convert news feeds to be read on kindle

Stanza: Stanza has got a export feature for Kindle. It handles the pdf conversion for kindle very well than any other software available. It's even better than Amazon's doc conversion service

PDFRead: PDFRead 1.8 takes a different approach by converting pdf pages into pictures using scripts. PDF docs with complex formatting requires trial and error to have a successful conversion for kindle
